Trilogy Sanctuary — La Jolla, United States
A rooftop yoga, vegan cafe and healing sanctuary in La Jolla Village, San Diego
Trilogy Sanctuary began with a conviction held by its founders, Joe and Leila, who met in 2010 and have lived in San Diego since. They felt that a sense of community and belonging was missing in large cities, and set out to build a place in the heart of La Jolla that encouraged connection through yoga, vegan cuisine and spiritual healing. Joe had spent more than fifteen years in the holistic field with his own counseling and spiritual coaching business. Leila had taught yoga in La Jolla for many years and is a qualified nutritional counselor. Their stated aim was a place that nurtures balance and helps people live in harmony with themselves and with nature.
The sanctuary occupies the rooftop and third level of a building at 7650 Girard Avenue, near La Jolla Cove. Four studios are on site: the Infrared Heated Moon Room and the indoor Earth Room on Level 3, and the Rooftop Yoga Dome and outdoor Sky Deck above. The Earth Room is an indoor space of 1,800 square feet with 16 aerial rigging points, and holds over 60 yogis for vinyasa. Beyond the studios there are private meditation rooms, a rooftop cafe with an ocean view, and the Totem boutique.
The weekly schedule runs to about 90 mat and aerial classes across some 30 offerings. The list ranges from vinyasa, hatha, yin and restorative to aerial lyra, kundalini, Qi-Gong, prenatal yoga and combinations such as Yin with Sound Healing or Yoga Nidra with Sound Healing. Teacher trainings cover 200-hour and 300-hour yoga, aerial, breathwork, Reiki, yoga nidra, yin, restorative, meditation and Ayurveda. Trilogy also hosts retreats, including a week at Xinalani in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in April 2026.
The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner that is 100% organic, vegan and gluten-free, alongside cold-pressed juice, smoothies, detox programs and catering. Events fill out the calendar. The Trilogy Yoga & Wellness Festival ran January 9 to 11, 2026, with more than 50 classes and workshops, a Sky Deck wellness lounge, and Shiva Rea among the teachers.
