What to Expect

Expect mornings spent walking the Avenue of the Dead, afternoons climbing the Pyramids of the Moon and Quetzalcoatl, and evenings in intimate teachings on Toltec wisdom and the nature of mind. About the Artist

don Miguel Ruiz is a Mexican spiritual teacher and author whose work has touched millions worldwide. A former surgeon, he underwent a profound spiritual awakening and devoted his life to transmitting Toltec wisdom—ancient teachings on freedom, authenticity, and the nature of human suffering. He is best known for The Four Agreements, a distillation of Toltec principles into actionable practices for personal liberation. Don Miguel brings both intellectual clarity and embodied presence to his teachings, always grounding spiritual philosophy in the lived experience of participants. His lineage carries the teachings of his nagual (spiritual guide), and he continues to offer retreats and ceremonies at sacred sites, including Teotihuacan, where the wisdom he shares finds its deepest resonance.

Accommodations are in San Sebastián Xolalpa, a village within walking distance of the pyramids. Wear comfortable, layered clothing suitable for walking and climbing; bring sunscreen, a hat, and water. The terrain is accessible for most fitness levels, though climbing the pyramids requires moderate physical ability. Nourishing meals are provided daily.
