Question 1

Who is Alexandra Roxo, and why do people care about her work?

Accepted Answer

Alexandra Roxo is a bestselling author, transformational coach and teacher to women. Her work centers on intimacy, sexuality and embodiment: helping women reclaim desire, sensuality, voice and erotic aliveness, and come back to the body and to pleasure.

She brings a background in depth psychology, spirituality and conscious relationship work to her practice with couples and single women who want to call in and keep love. She is passionate about breaking the patterns in intimacy that keep people feeling alone, single and stuck. She sees clients and couples in her coaching practice, online and in person.

Her first book, F*ck Like a Goddess: Heal Yourself, Reclaim Your Voice, Stand in Your Power, was published by Sounds True in July 2020. It was a #1 new release and bestseller in three Amazon categories for three weeks in a row. Refinery 29, Pop Sugar, Bustle and InStyle covered it as a radical guidebook for women who want to feel empowered and inspired in their sexuality and body. Her latest book, Dare to Feel: The Transformational Path of the Heart, offers stories and exercises to help readers feel more deeply and, in turn, love more deeply.

Alexandra has appeared on three episodes of Netflix's Too Hot To Handle, where she was called the "Deeper Connection Queen" for supporting singles toward emotional connection and communication skills. She has also appeared on ViceTV's Slutever and Epix's Sex / Life, spoken at festivals and events worldwide, and been featured in the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, The Guardian, Playboy and InStyle.

She leads retreats and workshops around the world, including at Kripalu, 1440 Multiversity and Maha Rose Mazunte in Mexico. Some were co-led with Ruby Warrington and Moun D'Simone. She also hosts a podcast.

Question 2

What tradition or lineage does Alexandra Roxo's work belong to?

Accepted Answer

Alexandra Roxo's lineage is explicitly modern and eclectic rather than rooted in a single ancient tradition. Her background draws from depth psychology—the Jungian and somatic schools—alongside contemporary spirituality and what she calls conscious relationship work. The meditation teaching role suggests exposure to mindfulness or contemplative practice, though her primary focus is not on Buddhist or Hindu lineage but rather on Western psychotherapeutic approaches to embodiment and relational healing. Her work sits at the intersection of feminist sexuality studies, trauma-informed somatic work, and spiritual coaching—a relatively recent lineage within Western therapeutic culture that has emerged primarily in the last 20-30 years. She is not teaching classical Tantra or Taoism in their traditional forms, but rather using insights from those traditions to reshape how Western women relate to their bodies, desire, and power within intimate partnership and solitude.

Question 3

Where should a complete newcomer start with Alexandra Roxo's work?

Accepted Answer

The most accessible entry point is her first book, F*ck Like a Goddess: Heal Yourself, Reclaim Your Voice, Stand in Your Power, published by Sounds True in 2020. It was a #1 new release and bestseller in three Amazon categories, partly because it spoke directly to a hunger among women readers for permission and practical guidance around sexuality and embodiment that didn't come wrapped in shame or pseudo-spirituality. The book combines personal narrative, psychological insight, and concrete exercises, making it readable both as self-help and as something with real depth. For those drawn to shorter, contemporary media appearances, her Netflix work on Too Hot To Handle offers glimpses of her coaching style in real time—she's visible coaching real people through emotional blocks around connection. Her podcast is also available on Spotify and represents ongoing teaching, though starting with the book gives you the foundational framework she builds from.

Question 4

What makes Alexandra Roxo distinctive compared to other authors and coaches in the sexuality and embodiment space?

Accepted Answer

Where many sexuality teachers work from New Age abstraction or from dry sexology, Alexandra Roxo explicitly grounds her teaching in both psychological depth and spiritual practice—bringing her background in depth psychology directly to bear on questions of desire, voice, and relational patterns. Her angle is unapologetically feminist and female-centered; she is not teaching sexuality as a technique to please a partner or to keep a man, but as a pathway to personal power, aliveness, and authenticity for women themselves. The specificity of her media work also sets her apart: she didn't just write a book and wait for attention; she appeared on three Netflix episodes, consulted on prestige TV projects like Sex/Life, and has been featured across high-circulation outlets (Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The Guardian, Playboy, InStyle, Refinery29). That visibility, combined with the rigor of her writing—which won attention from intellectual and mainstream fashion press alike, not just wellness media—suggests she is able to translate intimate subjects into language that serious publications take seriously. She also leads retreats at established venues like Kripalu and 1440 Multiversity, positioning her work within institutional frameworks of learning and transformation, not just individual coaching.

Question 5

Who is Alexandra Roxo's work NOT for?

Accepted Answer

Her work is not designed for readers or clients seeking a conservative, shame-based, or religious approach to sexuality—or those uncomfortable with frank, explicit language around sexual pleasure and desire. If you are looking for advice on abstinence, purity culture, or sexuality-as-procreation-only, this is the wrong teacher. Additionally, those seeking pure academic psychology without spiritual or embodied dimensions may find her integration of meditation, spirituality, and somatic practice too soft or non-evidence-based, even though her work is grounded in recognized therapeutic models. Her writing and coaching is also explicitly women-centered, and while not exclusionary to other genders, the primary design is for women reclaiming voice and desire; men seeking to understand their own sexuality through her lens may find the angle doesn't center their experience. Finally, anyone uncomfortable with sexuality as a subject matter central to personal transformation—rather than peripheral or medicalized—should likely look elsewhere for their growth work.

Question 6

How can I follow Alexandra Roxo's upcoming events, releases, and travel?

Accepted Answer

The primary hub for Alexandra Roxo's current work is her website, alexandraroxo.com, which should list upcoming retreats, workshops, and releases. She leads regular retreats and workshops at established venues including Kripalu Center in Massachusetts, 1440 Multiversity in California, and Maha Rose Mazunte in Mexico, often in partnership with collaborators like Ruby Warrington and Moun D'Simone; checking those retreat centers' calendars is a direct way to catch her upcoming offerings. Her podcast is available on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/show/1FNlTCLDSqlxJ9vd8b8p3m and likely on other podcast platforms, which can be a way to stay connected to her current thinking and any announcements. For book releases and major press, her social media channels and newsletter signup through her website would be the most reliable paths. Checking publications that have covered her in the past—Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The Guardian—occasionally run features or announcements about major releases or appearances as well.

Question 7

What are the essential books by Alexandra Roxo?

Accepted Answer

Alexandra Roxo has published two books that form the core of her written work. The first, F*ck Like a Goddess: Heal Yourself, Reclaim Your Voice, Stand in Your Power, arrived in 2020 from Sounds True and became a #1 new release and bestseller across three Amazon categories. It was widely reviewed and discussed in mainstream outlets like Refinery29, Bustle, PopSugar, and InStyle, marking a cultural moment for frank, serious discussion of female sexuality and embodiment in a major publishing context. Her second book, Dare to Feel: The Transformational Path of the Heart, extends her work into the emotional dimensions of relational life—teaching readers how to access and deepen feeling, which she argues directly expands capacity for love. The two books form a natural progression: F*ck Like a Goddess addresses sexual reclamation and voice, while Dare to Feel moves into the emotional and heart-centered work that sustains intimate connection.

Question 8

Where should I start with Alexandra Roxo's books?

Accepted Answer

Begin with F*ck Like a Goddess. It's her debut, it's the book that created her public presence, and it's the foundational text that introduces her entire framework—healing shame, reclaiming desire, finding voice, and standing in personal power. The book combines memoir, psychological insight, and practical exercises in a way that feels both rigorous and accessible, and it's written with enough candor and specificity that readers often find it revelatory rather than prescriptive. Once you've worked through that book—and many readers report revisiting exercises and concepts over time—move to Dare to Feel to deepen into the emotional architecture that holds relationship and intimacy together. Reading them in order gives you her full arc: from sexual and embodied reclamation to emotional depth and conscious relating.

Question 9

Where can I see Alexandra Roxo live? What cities or retreats do they appear at?

Accepted Answer

Alexandra Roxo leads retreats and workshops at several established learning centers across North America and Mexico. In the United States, she teaches at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Massachusetts and 1440 Multiversity in California—both well-known venues for transformational and educational retreats. She also leads retreats at Maha Rose Mazunte in Mexico, often in collaboration with teachers like Ruby Warrington and Moun D'Simone, combining her work with complementary practitioners. Beyond formal retreat settings, she has spoken at festivals and events worldwide, though specific upcoming tour dates are best found by checking her website (alexandraroxo.com) or contacting the retreat centers directly through their published calendars. She also works with individual clients and couples in her coaching practice, available both online and in person, making private sessions a direct path to work with her if public retreats don't fit your schedule or location.

Question 10

Has Alexandra Roxo been covered by major publications or received recognition?

Accepted Answer

Alexandra Roxo has received substantial mainstream press attention and institutional recognition. Her first book, F*ck Like a Goddess, was reviewed or featured in major outlets including Refinery29, PopSugar, Bustle, and InStyle, as well as prestige publications: the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, The Guardian, and Playboy all covered her work. This crossover from mainstream wellness media into high-circulation fashion and culture outlets speaks to how seriously her writing has been taken beyond the typical self-help category. Her television appearances also signal recognition: she appeared on three episodes of Netflix's Too Hot To Handle, where the show itself called her the "Deeper Connection Queen" for her ability to coach contestants toward emotional authenticity and communication skills. She has also consulted on Epix's Sex/Life and appeared on ViceTV's Slutever, positioning her as an expert voice worth featuring in prestige television projects. Publishing with Sounds True (an established trade publisher in transformational work) and being invited to teach at Kripalu and 1440 Multiversity—institutional gatekeepers in the yoga and transformational education space—further validates her standing.
