Heather Rae is a meditation teacher, yoga instructor, author, certified life coach, and body and energy worker. She describes her practice as steeped in tradition, mindfulness, and a holistic approach to wellness, and she works from the belief that self-care should be integrative, embracing every aspect of yourself. Her sessions, classes, and workshops invite people to tap into their own power, love their body, and recognize that they already hold the key to the life they want.
She describes herself as a lover of nature and an explorer of the Divine. Her path has led her to become a self-spiritualism and magical living coach. She holds credentials as a licensed massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, and yoga instructor. In 2022 she also began work as an occupational therapy professional, helping children and adults with neurological and developmental disorders through physical and cognitive rehabilitation. Her personal practice, Little Lotus Wellness & Meditation, is in Ferndale, Michigan.
Heather is the author of A Peaceful Place to Dwell, a collection of musings, guided meditations, and sacred daily rituals. Its meditations cover self-love, gratitude, forgiveness, the elements, the seasons, moon cycles, relaxation, empowerment, and prosperity, with journaling prompts and affirmations in each chapter. She also offers private and group meditation sessions, virtual wellness workshops, and women's coaching, and she has led retreats including an annual yoga retreat in northern Michigan.
She shares free meditations and talks on Insight Timer, where she is a featured teacher. She is known there for short meditations she calls magical nuggets, and for Sacred Forest Story Time, in which she retells old tales and ancient lessons. She hosts the Modern Goddess Living podcast and has been featured on Real Women, Real Issues, the Weam Namou Show, and Empower Radio with Teri Williams.
Worth Knowing
Heather Rae is a Michigan-based meditation teacher, yoga instructor, author, and certified life coach whose practice bridges ancient wisdom traditions with contemporary wellness needs. What draws people to her work is her integrated approach — she's not just teaching meditation in isolation, but weaving together mindfulness, energy work (Reiki), body-centered practice, and storytelling to address the whole person. Her credibility comes from serious credentials: she's a licensed massage therapist, certified yoga instructor, and since 2022 has worked as an occupational therapy professional supporting children and adults with neurological and developmental challenges, which grounds her teaching in real clinical understanding of how the body and mind interconnect. Students and retreat participants seek out her work because she positions self-care not as luxury or escapism, but as a practical, integrative act of reclaiming power and agency. Her teaching carries the conviction that people already possess what they need — they just need tools and permission to access it. This resonates with seekers who want depth without dogma, and who recognize that genuine transformation requires engaging multiple dimensions of being.
